We've been to Canon City many times over the past fifteen years and have always enjoyed a stop at Merlino's Belvedere Restaurant. Everything from their house sald, homemade pasta and great Belvedere steak are always a hit! This family owned restaurant strives to please and they have always made us feel at home. If you've been to the restaurant and have experienced poor service or food that wasn't as expected I encourage you to ask for either Mike or Cathie as from my experience over the years they'll make it right. As for us, we're loking forward to ouor next trip this fall during their annual Jazz Festival! Great music and always lots of fun and entertainment! Murray and Jeff Atlanta, GA

OBVIOUSLY, THE PERSON THAT REVIEWED THIS RESTAURANT IN THE PAST HAS ONLY BEEN AT MERLINIO'S ONCE AND PROBABLY A LONG TIME AGO. MERLINO'S IS A FANTASTIC RESTAURANT WITH WONDERFUL SEASONED EMPLOYEES. ALL OF THE DISHES, FROM THE BEST ITALIAN TO STEAKS THEY AGE AND HOMEMADE BREAD THEY MAKE ON SITE, YOU CAN'T FIND ANYWHERE ELSE. THE CHEF IS WONDERFUL AND A PART OF THE MERLINO FAMILY. MIKE AND CATHIE MERLINO, OWNERS OF THIS RESTAURANT THAT HAS BEEN IN THE FAMILY SINCE THE 40'S, ARE THE BEST HOSTS AND THERE FOR YOUR EVERY NEED. WE RECENTLY MOVED TO COLORADO FROM CALIFORNIA AND THERE IS NONE TO COMPARE IN CALIFORNIA TO OUR VERY OWN MERLINO'S BELVEDERE RESTAURANT.

We as a family have goon to the Belvedere for years.Last weekend we went back to find out that the food quality has really gone down. We loved the waiter but the food was cold and my son ordered a steak that looked like it was cooked in the microwave. My mom and I ordered the spagetti and it came to the table cold. The owner needs to do some major improvements on the food quality if they want to continue charging 15.00 for half plate of cold spagetti.

All the locals make a fuss about this place. I don't see what the big deal is. Mediocre service and food.

I've eaten at alot of italian resteraunts and personally i think that this place charges way way too much for the bland food that they put out. I've never gone there with a date and spent less than $60.00. I will say they have a pretty decent wine selection, some of it made right here in Canon City.
